Michelle has tagged me, and I’m to tell you 8 random things about myself. Here goes!
1.) I heart Tony Blankley!
2.) I have seasons of weird ticks~making funny noises with my lips or excessive blinking or clearing my throat (I *don’t think* all in the same season…). My darling says I haven’t done these things in a long time.
3.) My darling says I have a “flexi-nose”.
4.) My darling and boys always joke about my health advice. They walk around saying, ”My finger hurts~put some breastmilk on it!”
5.) I am sensitive to the *extreme*, and I hate it! I would change that if I could.
6.) My goal is to be successful in my business venture not only so I can take over payments for my own product, but also to put someone else on the program who couldn’t otherwise afford it once I reach my goal weight.
7.) I really, really wanna know what EVERYONE’S day looks like as I’m puttering about my own house. What’s the first thing y’all do when you get up? What comes next? How are we the same in what we do, and how do we differ? It FASCINATES ME!
8.) I LOVE to be TAGGED!
I have tagged Marcy, Michelle, hensleyt, Michelle, Amanda, Becky, iluv2prshim, and Jewel.

If I’m bein a “good girl” I get up at 6 before Shane leaves. Sit beside him, and try to stay focused and awake, while he reads from “Morning and Evening” and prays for our day. Then I have my devotional time (sometimes with a cup of coffee) and then I either go to the computer or go to my T Tapp exercise tape. Then I do the other. Wake up the chickens, and take a shower. If we’re doing well, the children get up at 8. Lately, I’ve been letting them sleep since w’eve been so busy. And I don’t always make it to the chickens or the shower before they get up. If the day works like Shane and I have planned, we then have breakfast, family devotionals, children’s quiet time and then start schoolwork (or go outside). That’s about it…
Have a blessed day!

Reminds me of Big Fat Greek Wedding movie–
Put some Windex on it, wasn’t that the cure-all.
Hi Sandi,
Let’s see every day seems to be a bit different. I like to get up around 5 or 5:30, before any children. It really sets the mood for the day I think. When I’ve been up for even 15 minutes before them, I’m ready to greet with a smile rather than a grunt! So when that happens, I usually make my coffee and do my email devotional. Then I tinker around on the internet for a bit, till I hear squeaks from upstairs. Right now Sophie is beside me trying out a little blanket training. After everybody is up we usually have breakfast between 7 and 8. Sometimes I can sneak in a load of laundry before then, if not, I do it after breakfast. Ideally, I’d like to do chores in the morning and playtime later. Oh, there is so much more I’d like to start doing with the children, but it’s hard to start new habits. Baby steps, I keep telling myself. I too have enjoyed catching up!

My day is pretty boring..LOL. I am not a morning person. Sorry, I tried that once and it wasn’t happening. I mean, for one, I don’t go to bed until midnight. Anyway, I wake up around 8am. I take a shower. My hubby doesn’t go to work until 8:30 so I can do that. Sometimes the baby is up by then so I feed him and get the girls breakfast. Then I tell them to go brush their teeth. I should do devotions, but I have been really lazy about it lately. I need to do them again. Maybe this summer I’ll try it. For now the night seems to work best for me to get my devotions in. Anyway, then I start school around 9 or 9:30am. The baby goes back down for a nap then, so thats when we start. The rest of the day is school, housework, and breaking up fights with the sisters…LOL.
As far as habits go, I read Charlotte Mason Companion by Karen Andreola. One thing I really took and ran with is the idea that teaching one good habit at a time is important. STart with something that really bothers you, maybe the kids don’t pick up their clothes off the floor or you want them to make their beds in the morning. Start with that. Then you’ll have to remind them until they get into the habit of doing it without you asking. Once that has happened, you can start a new habit. It makes sense. Why bombard them with tons of new habits. Let them form one at a time!
God bless!
Michelle
