1.) After our recent dentist visit~before even leaving the office~Allen started telling me that he thought he had gingivitis. He was soooo distraught, so I asked him if the dentist told him he had it. He said no~but he had been reading all the pamphlets in the office and suddenly realizing he had all the symptoms! My darling says we’re gonna have a telethon for Al….
2.) Poor Preston! Every Monday morning he wakes up and asks, “Is it the weekend?”
3.) Hazel has said her second sentence: Please can I be excused? I recognized it not entirely by pronunciation, but by the intonation being the exact same as the brethren! LOL!
4.) I am pretty good at parallel parking, because way back in the day I learned “the formula”. My darling makes fun of me, but IT WORKS! Here’s what ya do: You pull up next to the car in front of said space~driver‘s seat to driver‘s seat. You turn your wheel all the way to the right and slowly back up until your seat is parallel to the bumper of the car in front of the parking spot. Then you turn your wheel a hard left and slowly finish. Now I’m not responsible if you’re not watchin’ and have an accident! LOL! Pay attention during that hard left and adjust the degree as necessary.
5.) We visited a church a while back for a celebration honoring someone. I kept hearing the pastor tell the kids, “No healing in the church!” I was confused~why would that be such a bad thing? Then I realized he was talking about those newfangled skate tennis shoes! No HEELING in the church! LOL!
6.) Preston’s new explanation of how he’s gonna dominate the bad guys is that first “I gonna bust outta nowaya!” ROFLOL!
7.) Preston recently shared that in our neighbor’s family, they play lots of aggravational games. He meant educational! HA HA!
8.) Hazel has become sooo polite! OH how sweet to hear her constant “Thank you!” when you give her something!
…can I get a drum roll please….
9.) My darling DID NOT think that our van being stolen again was funny! LOL!

I use the same formula for parallel parking. Occasionally I still don’t do so well. My son always seems to remember the time it took several attempts (his number gets larger each time) to get in the spot rather than the time it took only 2 wheel turns.
Hazel’s brothers must also do a great job of being polite. She has good role models.

My dad taught me to parallel park the same way … but I forgot since then the exact line-up details! I thought it was hard left when my bumper lines up with their bumper, but then I usually don’t have enough space.
I’ll have to remember this next time!
Don’t think dh nor myself would find it funny about our vehicle being stole yet again either. It has never happened to us, Praise GOD.
i learned how to parallel park the same way you did. it works for me. however, i will only parallel park my little car and will not even attempt the truck or the suv. our big cars scare me to the point that even aprking them in a parking lot i use the far end away from everyone else out of fear of backing them up. lol
you family always makes me smile.
love, mari
“no heeling in church” ahahhahahahaha, that is cute
Oh no!! I agree with dh .. the van being stolen is not funny at all. The rest are though! Thanks for sharing!
I really like Preston! Funny little guy!
Educational… aggravational. Marissa would agree.
I kind of thought your husband was not going to be amused by the stolen van thing ~
loved this!
the no Heeling one got me!
I love a polite baby too! it is so dang sweet! I wrote a blog about it once….long long time ago…okay so it was probably in may. LOL
