1.) Allen was reading to Hazel this week, and I could not stop laughing at them! He was reading really, really fast~because she’d flip the page before he was done. Then he’d start again on that page really really fast~flip! LOL! Listening to the disjointed story that came out was quite amusing!
2.) I remember when one of my Dizzle’s children was younger, I would laugh SO HARD over the phone when I heard him always crying over the stupidest things! And now my middle does the same thing, and she laughs at me. OH I SO DESERVE IT! Just this week he broke down in a tizzy because his brother wouldn’t sell him Connecticut Ave. while playing Monopoly. Then he went to put a box in recycling and cried because it had already been crushed. Just today he was having a verbal conversation about planes being blown up or something, and he was crying because they were all his. Sometimes it’s still funny~WAY AFTER the fact. More often than not I’m groaning, “You have GOT to be KIDDING me!”
3.) OH y’all! Do you rememeber Hazel’s doll? I took it away from her soon after she opened it, because she was pulling her hair out. But OH! I just brought it out again, and she is SMITTEN! So much so that she will not go to bed without her! And her little mothering is sooo cute! She caresses her and hugs her and says she’s a pretty baybee… She has NEVER taken to a doll in this way~I LOVE IT! Watching Hazel love on her baby is just so amazing!
4.) Recently while wanting to nurse, Hazel patted the bed twice and tole me, “Lay down!” HA HA!
5.) Preston had hives again last night in the wee hours. I got up with him and rubbed his skin and sang hymns to him while he tried to sleep. When we figured out it was hives and not eczema, I drew him a vinegar bath. It helped sooo much! This is not at all SiLLy, but we had such a sweet time together chattin’!
6.) Today during prayer Preston asked God for his friend to arrive at our house to play “in six minutes!” LOL!
7.) 9yo Allen LOVES to read! Right now he’s reading a Landmark book about the Magna Charta. Up to now he’s been reading about fighter planes and war battles. I love home schooling and encouraging children to follow their natural bent, but I was not prepared to answer what ear cropping was!
*CONGRATULATIONS, VICKI!* You are the winner of “The Old Country Church!” WHOOT!

[always crying over the stupidest things] I used to do that too. In fact, my mom always had a meeting at the school and requested the nicest teacher on the block. She told the school, “If someone looks at Julie cross-eyed, she’ll start to bawl!”
I think I told you already that I ordered a Karen’s Kids doll for Beverly. It is sitting in her finished room… just waiting for her mom to come home from Haiti. I hope she takes to it like Hazel has.
FUN READ! I am the speed reader in our home. your number 1 is soooooooooo me and my daughter.
And #4….yes, I have heard the same thing and gesture to the bed or couch.
cute!
Dear Sandi, And speaking of contests…Have you read the results of otoscope contest?
My three year old has been crying over the silliest things all afternoon. I was way to eager to tuck him in bed tonight!
Shari

You’ve gotta admire the specifics in Preston’s prayer… I so look forward to this on Fridays!
You capture your kid’s moments so well and have once again inspired me to write down my kids’ silliest actions and words. Thanks!
Thanks so much Sandi!! I can’t believe I won!! One of these days I’ll have to have a contest, just for the fun of it!!! I emailed you earlier this morning/yesturday night…*LOL* It’s 3am, but I couldn’t resist popping in for a visit!!
Both of mine have been crying a lot lately, but it’s more from attitude than anything…*S*…Desi crys because Megan doesn’t want Des to play with her, than when Meg wants to play with Des, but wants to do something different than Des wants, than Des starts crying….Lord help me!!!
Tomorrow we are going to have a long Bible/prayer session and see if we can put a halt on some of this attitude/hatefulness to each other!!!
Hugs to you my friend!!
God Bless,
Vicki
Sandi I love your family so much because each one of your kids is so very different from the others. They all stand out in my mind as being so unique and I love it! I can’t wait to see everyone and see how much they’ve grown!
Too funny. I love to get silly. As a matter of fact…come on over and EmbraceYour Inner Weirdness on my blog today!

Hey, lady. I always get a big smile visiting your site. I love the way you look at life. It looks as if you’ve been busy! I’m off to paint today–our bathroom was the last primary room in the house with the original, flat, off-white paint in it. I wanted something semi-romantic for the hubby and I, even though the pre-teen is the one who hops in the tub and lights the candles! HA HA! What is wrong with this picture?
I love seeing that all is well, and please give WomanofGod a big hug for me!
Love ya’!

Hmmm… I thought I commented on this post… maybe it got lost in cyber space! But congrats to Vicki!
These little kid things make me grin ear to ear. I can still remember my grandpa telling me to write everything they did down. Of course I was much too busy and would never forget anything back then…too bad I didn’t listen.
Keeping these notes will be such a treasure for your entire family in years to come.
Happy Belated Birthday!
