You MUST head over to Ruth’s blog, because she is giving away a set of BEAUTIFUL crocheted snowflakes! WOW what a prize! I WANNA WIN!
You also hafta, hafta, HAFTA check out this post concerning Share a Square. It will move you and make ya smile, and if you’re anything like me you’ll need a tissue too! ~smile~
Tonight I finished these slippers for my Preston, minus the pom-pom. Well, unless he makes me put some on~LOL! They are made of the neatest psychedelic yarn he picked out himself and are very swirly and bright! I can’t wait until he sees them when he wakes up, as he knows I’ve been working on them and is *very excited*. It’s also going to be cold tomorrow~a perfect day to try them out. I did put some dots on the bottoms with black puffy paint to help prevent slippage.
Now remember that dress I was working on for Hazel? Well, I was almost done and then undid the entire skirt. At Crochetville we would say I had to frog it: “frog – To pull work apart, to undo what you have done. You rip it, rip it, rip it, like a frog says ribbit, ribbit, ribbit.” I did this because one side hung straight down, while the other kept sticking out wider and wider. At the end of my rounds I was crocheting into the chain one! It was torture trying to decide whether or not to leave it be, but I knew it would drive me CrAzY. I’ve had a little break from it now and am looking forward to picking it back up again. I also had hoped to get some projects done for Christmas, and I really don’t know what else to say about that! LOL! Lofty goals!
Please let me leave you with a link to an INCREDIBLE recipe for Flax Oatmeal Cookies, seeing as once upon a time Wednesdays were dedicated to such sharing! We Moms all do things so differently, and if you’re the type to leave your cookie jar open you’ll be thrilled that your children are eating these!

ETA that I bought the coolest mesh bag to wash our crocheted items in! It’s a Woolite Wash Bag (made with Optimesh), and the weave of the mesh is tighter than the lingerie bags I’ve seen. It’s also larger and can hold an adult sweater or a couple of blouses, and the zipper is concealed well so as not to snag anything. GREAT buy! You can find it in your grocery store in the aisle with laundry detergents~but not the cheapie stores we like, i.e. Sav-a-Lot.

Girl, you are a busy lady. I envy getting to work on lots of different projects! I really have an itch to take up knitting, instead of crochet, but that isn’t going to happen for awhile. Thanks for the link love (and it’s perfectly fine for you to take a break until after the holidays!:-).
Hugs to you.
I learnt crochet when I was a little girl, but didn’t get very far. I wish I did though…
