1.) Please pray over the coming holidays. My late MIL always taught my darling to be careful when out and about this time of year, because it was “holiday time”. Please pray over attitudes and safety and smart spending, etc.
2.) I selfishly have my own request this week~I seem to be having trouble with my mouth lately and say bad words when I’m angry! That was hard to admit to y’all, too. Cussing is just such a *stupid* sin, ya know? SO not worth the calories, so to speak….
3.) From Renee: Valerie has had a stroke. Please pray for her. She was on a break from chemo for the holidays and then a stroke came along. Her doctors have moved her to rehab for now.
4.) From Lea: As always pray for my dear child in Iraq
5.) From Shari: Pray that God will give me wisdom on decisions that I need to make.
6.) From Lynne:
1. Could we please pray that God just meets with both my parents in such a real and personal way that they will know without a doubt that it is him. They are Christians but have had a very difficult last four years and just feel like God has abandoned them……He hasnt!
2. For my relationship with my other half. We have been together for 6 years now and are supposed to be getting married end of next year but some of me wonders if i am doing the right thing. This isnt just cold feet a little early – i get the feeling its more than that. I just need wisdom and courage to do whatever it is that God wants me to do.
7.) Your request goes here~please leave me a comment!

As always pray for my dear child in Iraq
Hi Sandi! Got your website off the Ya Ya site, enjoyed Hazel’s birth story. I also homeschool! Anyway, thanks for sharing about your problem with cussing. I picked up that filthy habit in college to fit in and boy, does it stick with you! I pray that you and I will both have mouths that speak beauty out of the overflow of our hearts.
Blessings,
Cheri
praying for all of these!
sandi, i suffer from the same problem with my mouth and the words i use. my father swore as a matter of conversation, and i picked and have the tendency to do the same thing if i don’t monitor myself every time i speak. it’s very hard to admidt this, but i just wanted you to know you are not alone. it is a struggle and one i will be praying for. i do well 99.9% of the time, but when emotions take over i lose it and the words flow out of me whether i try to stop them or not. praying for you. love, mari
Your MIL must have been a wise, wise person.
I’ll be praying for your speech. I never developed quite the same habit – but it’s also not good that I say belittling things to my children when I’m angry. And it seems this is a stressful and tiring time of year, so it’s harder to be in control.
Pray that God will give me wisdom on decisions that I need to make.
Shari
I have two requests please:
I just need wisdom and courage to do whatever it is that God wants me to do.

as-salaamu ‘alaikum. This is a nice post. Its always good to be in the company of prayerful Believers, mashaAllah! Before I begin, a few things: Ya Rabbi, literally means “O my Lord” and Ya Hakim, literally means “O the Most Wise”. I reference these two beautiful names used in our tradition and thought it would be helpful to explain first.
BismillaharRahmanirRahim
Ya Rabbi, protect your servants, keep them safe, free from bad attitudes and heedless spending during this holiday season, amin.
Ya Rabbi, strengthen Sandi to refuse the temptation to use foul language, amin.
Ya Rabbi, give Valerie a long life; healthy life; strong life devoted to your service and the straight path, amin.
Ya Rabbi, allow Lea’s “child” safety and protection and freedom from disagreement and upheavals while in foreign lands, amin.
Ya Rabbi, Ya Hakim, grant Shari Wisdom and Righteous Guidance in her decision making, amin
Ya Rabbi, if it is your will ya Rabbi, allow Lynne’s parents to realize Haqq and Batil; Truth and Falsehood while on this Earth, so that they may be among the honored ones approaching your Divine Presence, amin.
Ya Rabbi, allow Lynne Righteous Guidance, so that she may find safety, amin.
We ask you this out of the sincerity of our hearts, for the sake of this holy day; this holy night and for the sake your Holy Messengers coming from the tradition of Your beloved servant Abraham (alayhi salam), amin, amin, amin.
