1.) We had the most lovely serenade on our anniversary from our children. I mean, no such day would be very special without a rendition of “Love Stinks”~especially sung with great enthusiasm from your two-year-old! LOL!
2.) While visiting my cousin I discovered that he and I both squeeze our fries. What I mean is, we can tell by their appearance or feel how they will taste, and we may separate them. This is very interesting, because we have not spent lots of time together….
3.) Along the same vein, my darling and my Jamie eat Crackers and soup the very same way~take a bite of soup, take a bite of cracker. Preston, Hazel and I crush them into our soup. We all live together though….
4.) Hazel has had her toenails painted for the very first time, and OH! What FUN! We soaked our feet together and then I started with mine. “I LIKE IT!” she squealed. Then I found a pale pink and did hers, only she hated when I would pause to wipe a little off of her skin. “THIS ONE!” she’d urge. TOO CUTE!
5.) We experienced a very, very successful week on our revamped schedule, and I have hopes of it carrying us through the summer. The night before though Jamie came and told me, “We gotta drop the schedule!” He was not excited about getting up a little earlier than usual~LOL!
6.) Allen has inherited my mixed up understanding of names. One of James Brown’s most popular remixes has become to us, “Pay the Monkey” (“Ain‘t it Funky“). This leaves my darling shaking his head and muttering, “I love my boy, but he has achieved a level of whiteness that even white people can’t achieve…” LOL!
7.) My darling treated Hazel and I to a trip to Claire’s so she could pick out her very own toenail polish. She picked out the most beautiful shade of pale, metallic pink. Then she tried on pink purses and stood in the mirror modeling them and talking to herself for like, fifteen minutes. OH did EVERYBODY think she was adorable~she is SO FUNNY!

I’m a fry-squeezer, too. And the crackers never go IN the soup — or maybe one piece at a time. Can’t be having sogginess. I do pasta the same way — love to have a bite of garlic bread with each bite of pasta. Did someone say carb overload?
My daughter is a fry squeezer too. She only likes the fries that are soft… nothing crispy for her. I used to find it annoying. She won’t order fries for herself. “I only want a few.” And, she proceeds to squish all my fries looking for just the right ones. I am quite sure by the time she is done she has fingered each and every one.
Now that she has been around awhile, I’ve decided it isn’t worth fighting over. She is probably helping me keep my immune system in practice. I think exposure to germs must be a good thing ~
Maybe you didn’t know but I am a fry squeezer too! And I also love crackers crushed in my soup.
The things we learn about each other!
Please pray for me as I learn how to handle discipline problems. Let me just be honest~and this is hard to share openly~but one son SCREAMED at me while taking a walk, “Just go ahead of me, YOU DIRTY BABY!” I so stink at this! WHAT in the WORLD?
I know this is a few weeks ago but Woe…I will pray for you!!! I can not imagine one of my children doing this!
these are so good.
i have the same name problem, and for years i have kept my family laughing of some of the things i come up with.
i must tell my daughter what your husband said (i think i have told you i have an african american daughter?) as i think that is so funny!! ali, my daughter, has the same issue with the name thing–i think she picked it up from me. lol poor child of mine.
and yes the crackers go in the soup.
And completely off the subject, you’ve been tagged by moi.
The tag is completely optional.

Hi,
I left some sort of instructions for the doll in my blog.
Thank you for your nice comment.
I love it! And I MUST come by and see Hazel and the boys soon. Would it be horrible if I dropped by on a weekend just to say hi and chat for a while? I so want to see you all!
