I have shared in the past what products are working for Hazel’s hair. Her curls are so soft and beautiful, thin and fine compared to a lot of biracial hair~and even her brothers’! and yet as the humidity of summer approaches I’m seeing it turn more to fuzz. How funny, as in the winter it can be almost bone straight sometimes! We usually use pure coconut oil to comb through it on a daily basis, but I’m thinking about trying a new approach. You just HAFTA check out the site http://biracialhair.org ! I’ll need to get a few new products, but I look forward to sharing an update on trying this new techinique.
In the past, summer school has always been our most productive homeschooling season. Usually more planning goes into the arts and electives, and I am hoping for more of the same. I am DEFINITELY a Charlotte Mason mama, but I am finding great inspiration in some Montessori and Waldorf bloggy ideas that are really blessing me!
I NEEDED this, because I’m crazy and needy when I’m pregnant, and all my friends have moved away. WAH! This does nothing for my besetting sin of spending too much time on the internet, but these last two weeks has been time well-spent. Let me share some of the posts that just got me THINKING~some of the ideas simple enough that I’m goin’, “WHY didn’t *I* think of that?”
Leaf printing in the nature journal
There is also an online architecture study using my own, historic neighborhood! WOOHOOO!
I wish I had bookmarked ALL the writings that inspired me, as each group has their terminology on what Charlotte Mason called habit training. They were each an encouragement and further motivation that I need to change MYSELF and work on MY OWN habits first! DAGGONE IT! (So sorry for lettin’ it rip~I couldn’t help it! I already knew this dreaded information. ~sigh~) I’ve shared before how difficult it is to motivate others when you aren’t very motivated yourself. I’m up for the challenge though and hope to have GOOD things to report as I embark upon these changes~with the Biblical insights along the way!

Those are great links. I reposted the one about the child who hits.
And how cool to find an architecture study about your own neighborhood!

I just wanted to stop by and thank you for your kind and uplifting words on my blog. We have yet to decide if we are going back for another week. The people that I have been talking with and helping really do seem like such a hopeless cause. I am feeling at a loss and a little down about things I guess. If you have any advice please lay it on me.
Thanks
Sarah
Pure coconut oil! I cant even imagine!
Okay now I’ll go check out those links. I just love anything about homeschool and yes, it really is all about getting the mom disciplined isnt it?
I still wish you were my neighbor. I just KNOW you could give me some face-to-fact tough love and whip me into shape!!!! LOL!
Since we went on a long vacation this spring, I don’t think we’ll finish school until the end of June. The kids both have nature camp and then going to visit their aunties. School will start again once they get back. We have a big garden so we’ll do some lessons with that.
Шдето я что то подобное уже видел
Thank you for visiting my blog and for the nice comment Sandi!!

Just dropped by to say “Hi”. Working hard on my writing too.
God bless you as you gain insights and share them. Have fun with your children.

Hi, I found your site from a post you left on this site…http://tightlycurly.com/Welcome.aspx
Even though I’m not bi-racial, I do have bi-racial hair. (Weird, huh??!) Anyway, I’ve been looking for tips on styling my hair FOREVER!! I just found this site this weekend and I’m loving what I’ve read so far. I’m going to try a few of her techniques and see if they work. Good luck with your daughter’s hair. I hope you post pictures of the results.
