We had a busier weekend than usual with the WONDERFUL wedding Friday, so we just stayed low-key about decorations and preparations. We started cooking early and napped and actually began the festivities later than usual, but still a good time was had by all! Our neighbor came over, and then we ate our traditional foods and then made red, white, and blue magnetic bookmarks as Daddy read from Good Stories for Great Holidays. Then we headed out for our big watergun fight, but our guns were very wimpy this year! The Dadanator totally dominated us all~LOL! We dried off, had an Oreo eating contest (you know, licking the middle out,) got some bomb pops, and headed to the backyard for fireworks while listening to Handel’s “Music for the Royal Fireworks”. That’s about it! There were surely some things we missed, but we still had a great time celebrating our FREEDOM! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

It sounds wonderful! I still haven’t recovered from staying out late on the 4th to see fireworks.
Happy 4th of July Sandi. I know it’s a little late, but I’m glad you all had fun. God bless.
