On just an hour or two’s notice last night my darling said YES to attending a pot-luck and barn party! (~and he traveled well, also… ~grin~) OH did we have just THE BEST TIME! LOTS of BIG families, good food, and LINE DANCING! YEEEEEEEHHHAAAAWWW! ~smile~ I’ve never been line dancing before, and now I CAN’T WAIT to do it again! (ETA I’m sure pregnant mama looked a TRIP!) and really, isn’t this just THE PERFECT way for our kids to socialize? In the family setting, with boys and girls alike, parents are around but not breathin’ down yer neck, and the dancing is not done too closely~and the slow song was for married’s only. ~smile~
There were white Christmas lights hanging from the rafters, and my mind now pictures ALL KINDS of uses for a barn! You could decorate, rent tables, and hold a wedding reception in there, or a ladies’ retreat, or a baby shower, or even a simple, weekly, Bible study. Of course their house was amazing~they could do the latter two inside. Still, OH the *EXCITEMENT!* from ME! WOOHOOO! (((((HUGS))))) sandi

How fun!! I’ve never done country line dancing, but contradancing (older, with more traditional music) is way fun.

OMG, wow-sounds like you all had a great time. Makes me want to put on an event like that, and I can imagine just how much fun it will be.
